Can flagstone be installed directly on bare soil?
That usually invites movement and uneven edges. The support system depends on stone thickness and the chosen dry-laid or mortar-set method; both require appropriate preparation.
How are irregular joints kept usable?
We fit pieces to avoid narrow slivers and plan joint width and fill for foot traffic. Larger gaps may look rustic but can catch furniture legs or small wheels.
What should I expect from natural color variation?
Each slab can differ in tone, grain and thickness. We review available stone outdoors and distribute variation deliberately rather than promising a uniform color.
How do you plan drainage at the house?
Finished patio elevation and slope are set before installation. The layout should move water away from the building and avoid trapping it behind raised beds or walls.
